Champions of Antarctica

This group is led by our Geography Club who already know a lot about this topic and who will be sharing their facts with you via this page. During our sessions each week we will be learning about different topics and completing activities around them.

The 2041 foundation is a group led by Robert Swan. This group is on a very important Mission to save Antarctica! The government are trying to make a big decision about what to do with Antarctica. They can either destroy it to build energy sources on it or keep it the way it is, which is what we want! In champions of the world club, we are going to learn about champions of Antarctica and what it is. Emily and Arianna have created some presentations below on behalf of our Geography Club which we hope you find informative.

Congratulations to the winners of our recent competition lead by the Champions of Antarctica group!

Earth Day

Taking place on 22nd April every year, Earth Day is a worldwide movement that offers a fantastic opportunity to get us all thinking about our carbon footprint both in and outside of the classroom. This year’s theme is ‘Invest in our Planet’. To mark the event, we wrote our pledges to the earth and will be doing a litter pick in the playground and local area. Pope Francis reminds us that ‘St Francis of Assisi invites us to see nature as a magnificent book bin which God speaks to us and grants us a glimpse of his infinite beauty and goodness.’
