Headteacher's Welcome

It is a pleasure welcoming you to the website of St Anselm’s Catholic Primary School in Harrow. Ours is a wonderful school where children and Christ are at the heart of everything we do. Our Mission Statement 'Learning and growing together through prayer, belief and love’ captures perfectly our vision of a Christ-centred community which recognises that we are all God’s children ‘made in the image and likeness of God’. At St Anselm’s we aim to develop children’s spiritual ‘thirst’ and accompany them on their journey of faith in a rich, positive learning environment with Jesus’ teachings and values at the core of our curriculum.

At St. Anselm’s, we have high standards for academic achievement with progress and attainment consistently and significantly above the national and local authority average. Together with exceptional academic achievement, we as a school community believe we are here to develop the ‘whole child’ so that every child recognises their own unique gifts and talents.

Our staff are highly committed and passionate about giving our children the best start in their life-long learning journey, so that they become the independent, articulate, compassionate adults of the future. Our strong community links, in particular with John Lyon and Harrow School, through to our outstanding pastoral care and curriculum offer, provide an inspiring education for all our children.

We are a thriving community, with the support of our parish - Our Lady & St. Thomas of Canterbury, our Governing Body and our Staff and Parent Association. The school remains a very special place in many hearts where staff, governors, pupils and parents work together to sustain the family that is St. Anselm’s.

We welcome visits from all members of our local community. For initial enquiries about the school, or for a paper copy of any of the information available on our website, please contact our school office who will be very pleased to help. I look forward to meeting you.
